I am a very active birder, and as such some of the images of birds in my galleries are 'documentary' in nature - important from a birder's viewpoint, but not necessarily the best technical or artistic images. My Favorites OKANOGAN HIGHLANDS AND WATERVILLE PLATEAU ... (9) The images in this folder were all taken using 'digiscoping' techniques by Master Birder Evan G. Houston on a January 10-12, 2009 birding trip with Marv Breece, Mason Flint and John Tubbs (also all Master Birders). The species shown here are hard-to-find (and therefore exciting to birders) 'winter species' that are typically only found in Washington state in the north-central and northeastern parts of the state in the winter. In the warmer periods of the year they typically are found further north in the boreal forest or tundra regions of Canada and Alaska.
